Ficksburg is the gateway to Lesotho and the Katsi Dam and boasts a large cosmopolitan population. For the dedicated tourist, a visit to Ficksburg offers exiting adventures, terrific scenery, pleasant climates, great entertainment and wonderful shopping possibilities. The Tourist Information Centre is staffed daily from 8:00 to 22:00 but open to the public on a 2 hour basis with assistance when required.
